Physical Activities for Senior Citizens

“As the body ages, muscles naturally begin to lose their mass. Inactivity can increase the rate at which this happens, according to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. As you grow older it is important to continue taking part in physical activities that strengthen and grow muscles to prevent muscle mass from being replaced with fat. Even though your body may not be able to accomplish the physical feats it could when you were younger, there are still many physical activities that can help you stay healthy as a senior citizen.” By Jessica Thompson
