The Fireplace-Latin Music Fest-

Coolidge Corner Theatre-
Jackson Browne presents Carlos Varela – Thursday, June 16th at 7pm at The Coolidge Corner Theatre. One of the most outspoken singer-songwriters of his generation, Carlos Varela is often dubbed “Cuba’s Bob Dylan.” Varela’s music combines Cuba’s Nueva Trova tradition of richly poetic, socially conscious lyrics with an innovative fusion of folk, rock, and pop. A major figure in Latin American music, he has shared the stage with Bonnie Raitt, Ruben Blades, Sting, and Jackson Browne, who is presenting Varela’s eight-city U.S. tour, and will be here to introduce the artist.
