Brookline Senior News and Events

The New Rep Theatre’s CRC production of  “ROMEO AND JULIET” will be pre‐ sented at the Brookline Senior Center on Sunday, April 2 at 2:00pm. At a slumber party, a group of teenage girls struggle to prepare for an exam on Romeo and Juliet. When the boys show up, their dry recitations quickly evolve into play act‐ ing, and as they get all swept up into the story, their play takes flight into a full blown production. Using only the original text, this zany and youthful 90‐minute adaptation breathes new life into one of the Bard’s most well‐loved plays.  Cost is $5.  Free to BHA residents.  Light refresh‐ ments and a chance to meet the cast will take place follow‐ ing the play.  To register, please call 617‐730‐2777.
